What the Scholarship Includes
The Makenna M. Maurisak Creative Scholarship is designed to support students who are ready to take their creativity seriously and carry it forward into the world. This award is more than financial support. It is a vote of confidence in your ideas, your voice, and your future as a creator.
Each year, one selected student will receive a creative package intended to remove barriers, spark momentum, and encourage bold artistic growth as they begin their college journey.
A Creative Launch Package
The chosen recipient will receive the following:
A copy of Flames: An Elemental Saga by Kenna Marie
The recipient will receive a copy of Flames: An Elemental Saga, the debut novel written by Makenna Maurisak under the pen name Kenna Marie. This book stands as a reminder that ambitious ideas, immersive worlds, and meaningful art are possible when creativity is met with dedication and care.
A brand new MacBook Pro
The scholarship includes a brand new MacBook Pro, professionally etched with the Makenna M. Maurisak Creative Scholarship name. This laptop is intended to serve as a long term creative tool for writing, design, music, filmmaking, photography, and any discipline the recipient pursues. It is meant to be used, challenged, and grown into.
A $500 cash award, increasing annually
In addition to creative tools, the recipient will receive a $500 cash award to support educational and creative expenses. This amount will increase by five percent each year and may grow further through annual donations, allowing the scholarship to expand its impact over time.
